Yahoo Switched to pure INKTOMI?
I have seen yesterday that Yahoo switched to pure Inktomi results. If you look at MSN now you will see the same exact results. Does anyone have any additional information about this?

Yahoo! had stated that Yahoo! Search was primarily based on a recent rewrite to the Inktomi core with Yahoo! spam filters laid over the top. in addition they are actively editing some of their search results to improve user quality

Well, what I have been seeing is Yahoo had dramatically different results then MSN(Inktomi) since Yahoo dropped Google. This Friday the results switched to Pure INKTOMI. So whatever filters Yahoo was using is no more. They are pure INKTOMI since this Friday.

I'm seeing massive differences between MSN and Yahoo serps - with IMHO Yahoo showing the better stuff

Yes you guys are right. I looked at some other keywords rather than the 10 I watch. I saw that there are major differences. I was just trying to point out that since this Friday the results resemble much like INktomi where as before they were dramatically different. I looked to me that either they changed their filters or dropped them.
I guess all is a questionmark. Thanks for the feedback. |
