Yahoo Free Submission Link

Hi There - I read an article from Search Engine Watch that says that if you sign up as a member on Yahoo! you can get access to a free "add URL" box. I have signed up but can't find the box anywhere. Does anyone know where this free submission box is located or if it exists at all. They say it doesn't guarantee inclusion, but i'd just like to check it out. -Beth

Yahoo has now got a link on it's homepage to add a site but the page it takes to to just gives a load of blurb mainly about PFI

Yeah, some Yahoo guy (Tim - wasn't that the sorcerer in Monty Python's the Holy Grail?) posted a thread on WW... said the link should be up this week sometime.

He also said that the free crawler once finding a page, will follow links on that page - so the best way, like with google, is just to get some good links on sites that the spider visits often... that should give you the best chance of being picked up by yahoo-slurp.

That's assuming this guy is legit... but it all makes sense - guess we'll just have to wait and see - should all be ok though, they need their free crawler to index most sites, otherwise their index will just get too far out of date and be non-competitive.

I got an Overture email re PFI

I got an Overture ad email describing paid for inclusion, and it used a Yahoo page as an example of the web search results. When I tried to log in to their link though, it didn't recognize my Overture account.
