Thumbs up Yahoo! Express

Yahoo! Express

I've been noticing lately that Yahoo Directory listings are doing significantly better in search results on Yahoo search, so I went ahead and FINALLY submitted my main site through the express submission form.

4:46 AM February 11th 2005

I'll report back to this post as how long it takes to get a responce.

Thumbs up

I already have a couple sites in that made there way in naturally. This is my first paid attempt...

I believe sites that are listed in the Yahoo catagory recieve heavy weight assigned to the "catagory" keywords.

I'm confident it helps significantly in Yahoo search.... Now I just hope I get in.

Will report back to how long it takes to get reviewed and answered.

Lightbulb

Took only 24 hours for Yahoo search to restructure my listing with the new title and descrition fed by the directory....

I wonder how this will effect my search listings as my meta title is no longer the actual title?

instead of my target keywords in the title - it shows my company name as listed in yahoo directory....

I would guess that it shoouldn't matter much as if it did - they would probably get stuck with alot of complaints....

I should know for sure within a week or two..... I'll see how my sites progresses in natural search...

Sure did..... Title has not harmed my rankings at all, and I have moved closer and seem to gained a small amount of value....

In my very competitive market, the small increase is pretty substantial.....

My overall evaluation is that if it fits within your budget, go-ahead and invest the $300....

If it doesn't fit within your budget, try and squeeze it in....

It's a big part of being aggressive in marketing.
