I hate when people say Alexa is worthless/pointless.

The same people say the same thing about Google PR.

Those things are minor tools, that when used all together (among other things like backlinks, dir listings, etc) can paint a good picture of how you're doing

But obviously I thought that this subject was pretty funny, which is why I made this thread

Post The reason Alexa is disrespected
The reason Alexa is disrespected is because of the Alexa Booster. The Alexa Boosters are worthless programs that connect to multiple proxies (to make the ip address unique) and send a unique vote for your url. Alexa could be powerful if they didn't count proxies. The other thing that makes Alexa biased is that some people believe if you embed a 3rd party advertisement or video from youtube, that those sites are also getting a vote. If anybody has an opinion on this I would love to hear it!
