Stemming and the NEW Yahoo
Odd, when i search for a word that has a plural, the new yahoo gives me the singular form in the results - which are the same terms and same SERPS for the singular. But when I search google, it has vastly different SERPS, each one reflective of the respective singular or plural. I guess the question is A) which one to optimize for and B) what does this mean for Google? Lagging a bit behind, or working as intended?

Google has been doing this for months and months.. i.e. holiday holidays.

I think it's a step forward actaully. Optimize for Google as Yahoo will pick up on the singular and plural form as one keyword and in Google you'll have two keywords, twice the more chances of being found with less competition. |
