for me the process of optimizing a site is the same for all SEs.. its just Yahoo give more factor on Onpage Optimization as far as i know... ;-)

Problem with yahoo organic search
The website I write for has been black listed from Yahoo's organic search because years ago we had a problem with duplicate content. Over the last year we've fixed this problem and were wondering how we can get back into Yahoo's organic search. Right now we can only be visible through paid links. Any one have any ideas? Any phone numbers to call? Any one to email? Thanks!

As from your question, mdanzig123.
You do need to submit again your Website. Step 2 is send an email to Yahoo! Spam Group.

SEO in yahoo is little bit different from google because google is more active on "on page optimization" and like updations. While yahoo give good result with "off page optimization".It is good to make one way links for yahoo seo.

You are saying just opposite.
Google giving more importance to Off-Page Factors and Yahoo concentrate on On-Page factors.
