Keyword density 2-4% but what
is in that are meta,title alt tags part of that % or just the on page stuff???

and if 2-4% is correct is the phrase 2-4% or each word in the phrase 2-4%

like for the phrase san diego attractions
do i want

san diego attractions to =2-4%-------or----
san=1.2%
diego=1.2%
attractions=.5%
________
=2.9%

what am i supposed to do here??

Forget about keyword density and focus on making great content that would be enticing to your visitors.

SEO_AM agrees: KW density is a metric that is now dead. Write for your reader NOT the search engines.

Keyword density is over-rated, this is like saying that meta tags will boost your rankings.

I had ranked flash websites on top of websites that have like 60% of keyword density.
