You will get each and every detail from it. I dont think there is any need to emphasize as to how to go about Google analytics. Once you set it up, you wont need any help for it.

Google analytics is a great package but remember to install the code on every page of your website, if you want to track every page. You will probably find that you already have a web statistics package that came with you hosting company, it would also tell you your google/yahoo traffic.

You can see the percentage on the Dashboard View I guess... It's not that hard to explore Google Analytics...

Google analytics and statcounter are good tools that can generate traffic percentage.

I just thought it was worth mentioning that statcounter + analytics are both wrong, statcounter varies as much as 20pc in my case with analyics varying around 5 - 10pc

the best way is to get stats running directly off your server logs, such as awstats etc.

AWSTATS is good and Statcounter can be off as stated. I use Hittail.com and that has been very good.

The original question I think was asking about whether or not he could tell the age of the site visitor by using some code of some kind. This would be a guessing game for any software or code since the only thing it could track from would be unique computer IP addresses. That would be fairly accurate if you know the age of the person that is using a computer with a particular IP but it wouldn't tell you whether or not someone else was using that machine.

Google Analytics would most likely be the closest.
