Only concentrate on Google, Today my website has 198 visits through specific keyword and 137 came through google and rest from yahoo, bing and search.
As far as yahoo is concerned, Content based links has much more importance in Yahoo.

As the biggest search engine in the world id Google. So if we target it for ranking our website then other search engine also becomes active to show results. But it is not often occurs in yahoo, bing. I agree with all above answers that the on page SEO, meta data will increase the ranking in yahoo, bing but the yahoo and bing search engines likes the social media optimisation techniques, social bookmarking, social networking, profile links, video marketing, artciel marketing.

Yes I also disagree. It depends upon the search engine that which of the techniques he loves the most. Like Google loves the fresh content and backlinks, yahoo,bing loves the social media activities, facebook, twitter like social networks and so on.
