Hello all,

I have a website which is nearly two years old and having 300 pages and in that 150 pages are duplicate content pages.

Recently Yahoo dropped out complete 300 pages from the index..but still we are having 1200 links for that site??

Only because of duplicate content yahoo dropped out my website? How to find site is banned by Yahoo??

With in the dup-page on your site, why don't you rewrite or change the data for make them to the unique?
Yahoo, GG, Adcenter don't like the dup content.

The obvious question is "why have so many duplicate pages"?
If they're really necessary you can alleviate the problem by:
1. Using a robots "noindex" metatag (to stop them from indexing the dup' pages).
2. Using robots.txt (to stop them from spidering the dup' pages).

Of course, yahoo just like other search engines don't like duplicate content pages. They love fresh and unique content.

Same with my site - I added several hundred pages of mostly duplicate content in April 2005 in an attempt to capture regional searches. In July 2005 my site got banned. Since then, I've eliminated the duplicate content. All of my pages are unique. I've even been accepted into the Yahoo directory, which is reviewed in-person. But the site is still banned. It does show that it's indexed.... but I get an average of 2 referrals a week from Yahoo in contrast to an average of 25,000 from Google and thousands from msn/live. I do not know what to do to lift the ban. I would pay anything for a set of human eyes at Yahoo to actually look at my site and remove the ban.
