Does SEO matter to this biz?
Hello,
SORRY WRONG FORUM I am a 'one man shop" attorney. I specialize in this area: Helping people get their Illinois drivers permits restored. I only do IL and only the central third of the state. If my clients use a search engine they almost certainly won't put in "central IL" and are more likely to put in Springfield or Decatur etc (though I'd bet most don't even put in "IL'). So how much difference will an SEO package help my biz ? Also when I buy a domain which is the smart way to go? something like illinoisdriverslicenseattorney dot com OR something like driveagain dot com ? Thanks very much for your wisdom! mitch Last edited by mitch77 : June 17th, 2009 at 05:50 PM. |

Hi Mitch First up I think just about any business can benefit from an on line presence and therefore SEO. You need to make sure that your site is being found by those searching for your service so the best place to start would be some keyword research to get an idea of the volume of people doing so. As for the domain, it doesn't make a huge about of difference what you go for, having said that if you can find a nice keyword rich domain it would have its advantages in a relatively uncompetitive market. I personally would not chose the one you mentioned because its very long making it hard to remember and it would also prove difficult to build a brand around. |
