Difference between Yahoo and google
It has been so long since i looked at results in MSN and Yahoo until a client asked why we don't do as well in Yahoo. That's a good question!!
I will probably get ripped for this but I never worry about MSN and Yahoo because in the past I was always at the top but never got much traffic. Now many of my sites have fallen away from the top of Yahoo. Is there as short summary of differences between how google ranks a site and yahoo? Most of my sites do very well in G but not in Yahoo, is Yahoo still very much content driven rather than link driven? Would love some feedback on this. Cheers |

Google more attention on off page optimization but on page is matter.
Yahoo more concern with on page but off page is also matter.

You're just acting silly by inserting your urls in between your posts or either here and there. I guess you should get rid of this for a longer stay here...... |

For Google, You should focus on back link and content.
For Yahoo, You should focus on Onsite and Article, RSS. |

Well.....the main difference between Google and Yahoo is that Google prefers offpage factors in terms of indexing or ranking while yahoo prefers on-page factors in terms of indexing or ranking.......so we have a proper balance in on page and off page optimisation to get rank well on both yahoo and Google........

For Yahoo, we should focus on Social Bookmarking, Forum Posting... This would help..

Slightly different view
If you rank in google, but not yahoo... you just need to add more keywords in your description tag, and in the content of your site.
I have also noticed that yahoo values directory links more. Free and paid directory links. While Google might devalue links from paid advertising (paid links), and site wide links.... Yahoo and MSN still count these links. If you rank high in Google... there is little reason to not rank in Yahoo. You obviously have the off site links needed, so just a little on site optimization and your on top of all the engines.

For Google, Keywords should be close to each other. It should be concise description and keywords filled in play a role. Link popularity very important It likes concise and accurate descriptions and keywords, choice of appropriate category For MSN, Spammers, frames will not be indexed- <noframes> tag needed if u want to use frame Title is important, should contain keywords Both are supported; description limited to 250, keywords to 1017 KW density is important, 4-12 times Link Popularity is important It likes theme present throughout the site Every SE has its own algo. so its better for us that we do perfect combination of on page & off page optimization with white hat SEO techniquesto be SE friendly
