I aggre on that. I prefer to have a better ranking in google than in yahoo. Google can drive you a traffic when your keywords are in better position.

Not really.
Title,Heading and Relevant content from the On Page Factors are playing some important role in ranking.
Otherwise Back Links and More Back links are most important factors.

According to me spamming is a useful tactic for yahoo ranking.
Yahoo directory listing is important and age of the site can play a role.

Both are supported; description limited to 250, keywords to 1017
KW density is important, 4-12 times
Link Popularity is important
It likes theme present throughout the site

Key word in the URL can be a big factor in MSN.

Strange observation

I have a site just launched in around January 2008 to February 2008. Got solid backlink quality and content.

Now, it is #1 in Google and MSN. But, it is nowhere to be found on Yahoo. I can say Yahoo is too different from the two in terms of ranking algorithm based on this observation.

I under stand that MSN like fresh content. But after some times it removes from ranking when if you don't change fresh content in your website no doubt like other search engines MSN also like link back
Google ranks on quality back links but some content is needed related to your anchor tag.
Yahoo like well on page optimization also like links no follow doesn’t matter but need takes a long time in competitive keywords.

Main difference between Google and Yahoo is:

Google owned by Larry Page and Sergey Brin

Yahoo owned by Jerry Yang and David Filo

Regarding ranks, Google is all about off-page and links.

Yahoo is more about on page [keyword density, keyword in domain, etc] but links do count but not as much as in Google

MSN also concentrates on on-page factors and links from dirs seem to work well for MSN
