Article Spining

There is a lot of good information in this forum. Yes, it is true that automated spinning does not produce solid results for SEO or readability.

However, I define article spinning, as using the same base, and then applying variations (i.e. synonyms, different titles, sentences here and there, etc). When I spin an article, I do the following:

1. Write a high quality, relevant article that people will want to read

2. Create 5+ variations of the title (the most important facet in many cases)

3. Automatically spin it.

4. Go through EACH AND EVERY spin, and make sure that it works well in terms of readability, as well as flow. At least 50% of the spins are not good, so I'll delete words, add a few, and repeat. I'll even change the spin text of the anchor text.

The result, is a highly unique, highly relevant article. From a back linking point of view, it is great.

Most of the negatives surrounding this issue, result from poor quality work, that is often automated 100%. However, I fail to see the "poop" in this method. Perhaps I am wrong. I'd like to hear some feedback.

The only thing I have a hard time with, is the syndication, which means that your article will often get picked up by content farms, or otherwise unreliable sources. Obviously, we want the articles to be used in moderation (I agree that thousands of spun articles is not a good thing). Does anyone have any tips for making sure the syndication is effectively done? If using Wordpress, and you "disapprove" some of the pingbacks (From low quality sites), does that help anything?

Article spinning is like dipping crap in chocolate..... on second thought.... it is like dipping cheap chocolate in crap.

I think it would be difficult or unlikely that you will be able to build a successful site this way.<snip>

I never have and never will do any spinning. I focus on writing truly good quality articles and posting them on the best sources where people actually read them. This has brought me more success than any other marketer I know that engages in primarily article spinning. -

I think spinning articles is pointless anyways. It's still duplicate content no matter you look at it. It's someone elses and you're not really doing anything different.

The point is to make original and unique content. That's what will bring in more members and viewers. Synonyms don't change the fact that it's all said the same way. It's just a cheap way to try to trick search engines into thinking you can make worthwhile content.

Cheaper or not, it's better to write your own content in my opinion.
