    Title Tag in HTML Code

Does it matter where I put my Title Tag <Title>MY Title</Title> in the HTML code, as long as it is in between the <head> </head> tags?

More importantly does Google or Google's crawlers care?

    Thanks

I can't remember reading anything out there that's specifically said where it should be within the head. I'd be interested if you tried out a couple of things and reported back here though. I can't think of reading about this, but i've seen a real variety out there (one common technique i've seen is having the description tag before the title), but in my own work I haven't found one to work better than the other, nor have I read anything from Google about it.

The robot just understand that your HTML page structure has head and body. It expects to find meta info in your header but there's no rule that I know about the order.
Did you make some tests since or did you just follow the tip from @mainstwebguy?
However, you can just follow the logic and add your title before so you never forget about it!

It is weird because when doing a google search of my site using; site:mysite.com on my home page search result, I noticed the title that was being used was NOT the title we put in the title tag. Check out the site here:

New York Security Guard License Training School

At first, Google was using the alt text of the Company's Logo as the page title, where the logo was inside an H1 tag. I since changed it to be inside a <p> tag instead hoping that it doesn't use the alt tag as the title tag:

    <p class="navbar-brand navbar-brand_"><a href="website"><img src="image" alt="Vicado Guards Training School Company Logo"></a></p

Since making this change, Google still does not show the title that we placed inside the <title> tags in the search results. It no longer uses the alt tag of the logo image, but I don't know where it is getting the title that it is using currently.
I am confused and perhaps this is a simple fix that I am not seeing.

    the site is vicadosecuritytraining.com
When I posted the link to the above post, it was replaced with the title of the page. Keeps getting better with this title stuff.
