Got a question.

I want to push everything in the URL into a script using .htaccess. Meaning, if someone types in:

http://www.domain.com/search/abc/123/test.html

I want it to come into my script like:

http://www.domain.com/program.php?pu.../123/test.html

So that when the program.php runs, it can pick apart the rest of the URL and figure out what to do next. So, in other words, there could be only one program file and no real HTML files on the server.

So, I tried this mod_rewrite very general rule:

Code:
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^/~(.+) http://www.domain.com/program.php?pull=$1
And nothing happened, it just does 404 error. I can't seem to get it to work. I tried this too:

Code:
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^/$ program.php?pull=$1
...with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance, this will save me a bunch of headaches at work.
