    Save HMCS Ojibwa

After giving thirty four years in the service of her country, HMCS OJIBWA, Canada's first Cold War submarine waited patiently in Halifax for 14 years. She weathered storms around finding her a new home and then stoically endured obstacles set in the way of getting her there. Today, we need your help.
This is where I learned Search Engine Optimization as finding other subs in an environment you have zero control over is the same as ranking in Google.

By signing this petition it will show that you would like to see the Elgin Military Museum continue operating HMCS OJIBWA while a decision is being made. It will also show the Minister of Canadian Heritage and the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport that they need to help the EMM find a financial solution that will accommodate: the Museum, the Royal Bank of Canada, and the Municipality of Bayham. After all, HMCS OJIBWA and those that served on her, helped protect Canada during the Cold War. It is because of them that Canadians enjoy the freedom we have today. It is part of OUR heritage. For more information about HMCS OJIBWA see their website: Project Ojibwa | Project Ojibwa.
I generally don't do causes but this boat (and her sister submarine HMCS Onondaga) made me into the SEO I am today. Please help save what made my passion so intolerable to some and a blessing to others.

    Sure, signed!

One of my roommates volunteers on The USS Slater, a WWII destroyer escort. I get an earful of navy history over dinner almost every night. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, but I find it all pretty interesting actually! Living museums like this are definitely worth the time and effort it takes to maintain them.
