I guess that's because some SEO has been arrested and brought to court these days for SEOing an online casino. They probably fear that they could be regarded "working" for an online casino too since they advertise for them. M. |

Well I am not complaining, it looks like things are going to get a little more competitive in the natural listings now. Anybody want to guess what else they will start not to advertise now?

My guess is that SEO's abroad will get work from the US. The point is that SEO will become Casinos main way of marketing. This is without a doubt going to roll-over to other websites as well and soon there will be very little that casinos can do about marketing apart from SEO. Affiliates will be stuck with exactly the same problem.
http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=16954 this will ensure that it becomes more difficult as well. So what can I say, I am smiling for now. Just don't know for how long, when do these SE's reject Casino results or submissions in general, then it will become dark in the industry for sure. But we will never give up will we? |

I just found the article. The story was only fictional
An interesting read, this could probably apply to many of us who have worked in any branch for that industry... http://www.securityfocus.com/columnists/229 No idea though why this issue is coming up right now, since this law seems to be there since the 70s. Well, maybe it's not related the the google decision. M. |

look before you leap
Risky...it seems. I guess having some sort of non-binding contract would keep me from getting arrested but when dealing with casino/pharmacy/adult you should know what rights you have and what rights you DON'T have.
What may seem like great money for an intense SEO site might become your worst nightmare. Always, always check the laws (attorney, forums ect..) before attempting to perform services for a questionable industry. I was almost sued by an Big-Named airline ticket company due to software I wrote for one of my clients.
