New Florida-style mayhem - Update on one dc
As we've all seen, the datacenters in the dance tool have been disappearing one by one. However, there are IP addresses that can be gotten to. I will list them at the bottom of this post. One in particular of these IPs however is updating and has been doing so throughout the night. Its results are occasionally showing on www, as well as on netscape and aol. For my search terms, this will be a second Florida-like disaster. For all of my keywords that actually held on to their spots in Florida - they all disappear with this update. The datacenter in question is 216.239.37.99 . What's it look like for you?
The other datacenter IP addresses that I know about are: 216.239.59.99 216.239.33.99 216.239.39.99 216.239.41.99 216.239.51.99 216.239.53.99 Tip: Now would be a good time to start taking screenshots of current results to be able to compare with future results. I hope 216.239.37.99 isn't what is coming because I'm gone for virtually everything even stuff that wasn't touched by Florida
Thanks Dazzlin I needed something new...............not

Am thinking of doing a new site that allows people to virtually jump out of windows as they see these new results.

dazzlin:
it seems to me that the others are almost all identical and you are right, except for a few keywords 216.239.37.99 appears like it helps me a bit. AOL has been changing upon refreshes like a madman. Don't give up hope, I think this thing has a long way to go. |

Hope lives on with Yahoo / MSN / Inktomi for me. Would love to see those compete (numbers-wise) with Google soon.

216.239.37.99 Kills Me
216.239.37.99 shows me no where...UGH FLORIDA RETURNS...But why haven't the other data centers updated to this ip address's data?

This dc's data may or may not migrate to the other data centers. But there is a good chance it will, and the migration takes time - could be several days if it happens.

Hiya DDF Every time I click refresh at AOL, Google, Netscape and Earthlink, the data changes. Example: 1st click #9 2nd click #6 3rd click #40 4th click #21 5th click #6 Wish I knew what the actual Google name is for the data center from your post. Lise |

OK any ideas on this
Following uyorukk's thread (http://forums.seochat.com/showthrea...51991#post51991) idea and search my key words in http://216.239.37.99/search?hl=tr&i...our+keyword&lr= I show top ten If I now just do a straight forward search in the same window for keyword1 k2 k3 I still show top ten. The URL is: http://216.239.37.99/search?hl=tr&i...le%27da+Ara&lr= Follow me so far? Now if I open http://216.239.37.99 and do same search I am nowhere. The URL is: http://216.239.37.99/search?hl=en&l...G=Google+Search The only difference is the "en&lr" in the middle and "%27da+Ara&lr=" at the end Anyone know what this means? it is the same every time Last edited by thewormman : April 21st, 2004 at 11:44 AM. |

The difference is the language the search is in.

but still, conroy, the SERPS shouldn't change! I'm nr 9 (or 8) without this trick, and nr 2 with it, pretty significant change there.

I've seen some improvement at 216.239.37.99 but I don't put much stock in it. I'm seeing pages from my site that have never surfaced before in Google but were indexed over two years ago.
I'd be amazed if I'm actually making any money out of Google anymore. My pages bounce around so much it looks like they're in a pinball machine. |
