Everybody types something for 1000 post so ...

First just thanks to everyone that have type anything, after 1000 post:

- i got a lot better serps then before on all SE
- i got a lot more traffic from all SE
- i got a lot more money on all my bank accounts

Real example how powerful are small keywords


Primary keywords by overture:
- keyword1: 5900 per month (my rank: 5 page)
- keyword2: 1784 per month (my rank: 3 page)
- keyword3: 1362 per month (my rank: 3 page)
- keyword4: 1005 per month (my rank: 2 page)

Secondary keywords by overture:
- keyword1: 571 per month (my rank: i don't know)
- keyword2: 373 per month (my rank: 3 page )
- keyword3: 323 per month (my rank: i don't know)
- keyword4: 220 per month (my rank: 2 page)
- and around 30 keywords more not below 100 per month

Small keywords by overture:
- nothing


From my statistic:

Visits from Google: 17911/month
Traffic from diffrent phrase: 4804 phrases/month
Time from 0 to 17911: 3 month

Direct traffic from primary and secondary keywords: around 3500/month.
Traffic from small keywords (below 100/month and keywords that does not show by overture and other keyword suggestion tool): 17911 – 3500 = 14 411/month.

List of strong small keywords with rank, competition and number of visits:
- keyword1, rank:2, comp: 30 150, visits: 658/month (this is small keywords??)
- keyword2, rank:3, comp: 70 000, visits: 323/month
- keyword3, rank:1, comp: 69 000, visits: 266/month
- keyword4, rank:1, comp: 55 470, visits: 252/month
- around 50 more keywords with more then 100/month
- around 4500 keywords below 100/month

Direct traffic from primary keyword1: 130/month from page 5.
Traffic from all small keywords that contains primary keyword1: 1256/month.

Direct traffic from primary keyword2: 70/month from page 3.
Traffic from all small keywords that contains primary keyword2: 2505/month.

How to target small keywords:

1.) get primary, secondary and all you can from suggestion tools
2.) optimize page's for every keyword
3.) monitor statistic
4.) get new keywords that bring traffic after 1 month
5.) check ranking, competition for this keywords
6.) get BL pointing to this page's or pointing to hompage or folder with keyword in anchor if you are not first, first position can give a lot more
7.) every month new page's targeting small keywords based on statistic

This can work only if you got unique content for each page or dup penalty.

My opinion based on my domains statistics:
- more content on 1 page more traffic from that page
- more content on 1 page better serps on more small keywords
- more pages targeting small keywords better serps on secondary and primary keywords


Targeting small keywords is getting big traffic. Its even better if you got nice rank on primary. But this is best way to start with new domain. You got couple option:

- optimize for primary and secondary keywords and wait to get out from sandbox and be patient until you get top 10, in other words atleast 1 year
- optimizae for primary, secondary and small keywords in start get into sandbox and have nice traffic from M and Y and even some from G becose of rich content site.

I eat up stuff like this and also apply it. I get a lot of visits into the first page for a variety of small phrases that are tangents on the primary phrase and have similar growth in visits from tangents on interior pages.

Very informative information. DD published similar information. Its a great strategy to build growth into a site.
