Hi Gabs.
If you are really interested there is a whole thread about that at http://forums.seochat.com/t34672/s.html.
The update after this thread is that the homepage was cached (indexed) for more then a month and then the cache disappeared again just a few days ago. Googlebot visits the page regularly. It actually visited the page just a few minutes ago.

I hope this helps.

Could it have anything to do with your sig. ?

MSN backlinks:
149 results containing link:www.ajdee.com -site:forums.seochat.com

VS

5,703 results containing link:www.ajdee.com ?

Seems odd...

I wired about this here too

Any got any thoughts ?

A lot of directories seem to be suffering at the hands of Google. As well as the homepage having no PR and not been cached a lot of the subpages seem to be suffering from the same problem.

Could this be another BlueFind?

So what are you saying is if a site have 3% of links coming from the same site (seochat in this case) Google will penalize the site? That sounds highly unlikely to me.

I noticed this also. Some examples are www.dirone.com, url.biz.com, bluefind.com, webatlas.org.

Fortunately this haven't impacted our business, since we never relied on Google or Google's PR. And it is a relief to get rid of all those people just chasing PR.

Now cache is back again. It seems to be coming and going every month or so. Very strange. I hope it will stay this time, since I don't see any reasons why it disappeared at the fist place.

Thank you Dave, it is just a beginning. In the future we will expand the categories and add more quality forums and blogs.

By the way the home page is de-listed again. Very strange, this has been going on and off for a couple of months.

Does anyone have any real evidence that a site can have too many links from another site and be banned from it?

I have two sites that are heavily linked, but are not duplicate and are not on same c block IP. One has crashed out of google and I am trying to work out why?

It is the newer and larger site that seems to have been penalised and I wonder whether this relationship is hurting me?

Any ideas are appreciated!

No Gabs, we haven't. We don't see anything wrong with gambling. And by the way http://www.google.com/Top/Games/Gambling/

Thank you for the links Gabs.
At this point I think our site has problems with Google because of the things we did in the past. These included sidewide links from and to our site and also some possible duplicate content. We took care of all possible problems and now I think it is just a matter of time for Google to recognize our site as clean and quality site.
I could be wrong of course, but I don't think we will do any more changes just to please Google. Our business don't depend on it anyway. I don't say it would not help to rank good in Google, but we don't depend on it (we never did)
I appreciate your comments Gabs.

Homepage first de-indexed in May 05 and then went to indexed status and de-indexed status 2 or 3 times until it was deindexed one more time on July 25
August 20 homepage indexed, cache showing
August 30th homepage de-indexed again
September 8th homepage indexed but cache not showing? This is something new.
September 11th - fresh cache showing.

Also most of the other indexed pages are showing cache from Jan or Feb 05.

Can anybody make any sense of this? Googlebot regularly visits the site. It crawls the site including the homepage as I type this post.
