New Google Interface

Is it just me that has seen this. I posted it on my site yesterday but no one has said anything over there so thought I would try here.

I recently randomly got a new look google appear. I have posted a screenshot on my site which has also been marked to show the changes that I spotted.

Anyone have any insight? To me it looks a bit like the old google interface from a year or two ago, but with coloured adsense boxes? :-s

I don't see any changes in the SERP's and the G interface..

May be it was some experiment going on and at the same time u got lucky to see that ...

But what does that mean with diff...color in adwords...

In an earlier post on searchgrub I mentioned that adwords is scheduled to go offline soon (dates are in the article on the site) and that this may be a point at which they do some big changes.

The google serp that I got a screen of took me a while to get. I had to run the search about 50 - 100 times and it would appear once or twice during that time. I can only think that are sub consiously testing to see if users react differently to ads that have the boxes etc :-S

Or its just a bug in google. You may have seen that the "results from" has nothing after it which is very odd!

Can u pls post that url where in ur Article it's mention abt G adwords...is suppose to go offine..

Still i cannot see that changes in G interface....

additionally the interface thing was inttermittent the other day, may not even be able to get it now ? Thus the screen shot.

It's Google's old interface, not new..

Seems when they are changing something that template returns containing some errors..

I like the way that looks. It's festive and attractive.

I noticed another "different" Google interface the other day that is not the one you posted. What I noticed was the right-hand AdWords boxes were actually top aligned with the 1-2 top blue AdWords boxes. So, the top blue AdWords boxes did not span 100% of the page but they spanned 80% of the way and the AdWords Ads were on the right 20%, and both boxes had the same top alignment. I believe that at this same time I noticed some other variations on the page but it didn't look as odd as the image you posted.

Interesting. I hope this is the old intereface and they're not gonna make this live. We'd get less clickthroughs on our #1 and #2 spots.

Exactly. However that also means that google and the advertisers make more money

Is Google going back on its early premise of keeping everything simple?
