Exclamation SEOChat Event - Please Vote
The moderators and operators of SEOChat are considering hosting an event somewhere in the US in the next 6-12 months. I'm posting to gauge the level of interest anyone from this forum would have in attending a multi-day or single day conference or meetup event in a major city.

Obviously, this is the very nascent beginnings of an idea, so please give your feedback, suggestions, etc. as fully as possible.

Our community is nearly 15,000 members strong, but this doesn't give a good idea of how much participation could be expected.

The poll for this may help to decide which city to host the gathering in.

John - Thanks for adding Ft. Lauderdale - I knew I forgot a coastal region! I think Florida might be an excellent way to go personally as SES, WMW and the others do not do anything down there. I'm actually planning to be there for two weeks at the end of this year...

Also, if you have any ideas or recommendations for an SEOChat event, please speak up!

IF 6 months out I may attend, I am planning two vacations and no-one will interrupt my well deserved vacation in July. The second I am game for where ever you want to host. Ft lauderdale is a few hours drive, and the rest is a few hours flight.Cheerios

I kinda confused, everything in that poll is either west coast or east coast. We have some of the best weather here in Texas, awesome facilities, including a better cost of living, and its way cheaper than California or New York. Plus more to do. And its in between all those places. I petition for the addition of one of the following Texas cities.

Austin, Texas
Dallas, Texas
Houston, Texas
San Antonio, Texas

If we were to add a Texas venue, my vote would be for Austin. Also, it would be great to see more people jump in and vote, even if you're not sure you could make it.

Austin would be a great place to have it potentially. Some of the best live music as some of you know in the nation. San Antonio is fun too, home of the Alamo including some great mexican food too. All the other places seem good venues as well. I like the Key West idea.

My vote's for KW as well if we can do it around September. October in Key West is off limits for conferences -- there's already 2 (Parrot Head and Fantasy Fest).

Outside of that, DC before it gets COLD!
