Hello bbott,

My site as well is in never never land on Google as of today.

I was #3 for over 3 years until 17 Dec. 2004. My site was kicked down by Google to #103 and #130 until a couple days ago. It came back at #8 and #15 until today.

As of this moment, about 2/3's of the Google data centers does not show my site anywhere.

Who knows what is going on with Google.

You are not alone..

You're not the only one, it happened to me as well. I'm sure our sites will be back again soon though, it's happened to me earlier as well.

Yep, don't panic as it won't do any good anyway....lol

I'm right in the same boat. Gone...or as I like to say...with that great country song... "Long Gone"... Not even in the top 1000 for every KW version targeted. Only thing left are some odd...and I do mean odd... phrases and even those dropped out of the top 10 to anywhere from 17 on down....

Thank god I diversified... and focused on MSN and Yahoo. Now..If I lose them I really may start a panic....lol

If this happens to stick with Google, which it very well may, it just means an opportunity to learn something new that will most likely make our sites better overall for every search engine.

Cheers

You might try removing the following from your code:

<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="follow, index">

Its not correct syntax for this tag, it would correctly be "index, follow". Google does follow the meta robots, I don't know if this will do you any good but its worth being careful.

I am in the same boat as well. My site is not appearing in G for my site name (which was earlier at #1).
Its only appearing if I enter the URL of my site.
Its a very clean site with no spam or naughty stuff at all.
Can anyone explain it to me what is happening and what shall I do? (I will try not to panic).

Is this a new problem with google that you are all experiencing, or does this behaviour occur all the time with google?

I thought I was alone - my site was gradually working its way (back) up the Serps to the point where I could find it in the first 100 for my primary targetted phrase and then, bang, gone !

It doesn't even show up with the -asdf thingy.

One thing I've noticed, though, is that it can be found (in the 500s) on 216.239.57.99 - don't know what that means though : good news? Bad news?

Anybody else in this situation seeing their site on 216.239.57.99?

Cheers

our site is bouncing around like a cat on crack at the moment, hasn't got past page 6 for our best term though, sometimes goes as low as page 17

Talking

I have a site that has been number 1 on the G for three different kw pharses for the last three years.

I can't even find it on the G as of three days ago.

:-?

Nothing has changed on the site that would make it any different to Google.
