MSN SE launch date

Does anyone know when MSN are planning on launching the new SE. I am in 2nd position and really can't wait to get to use it. Bye Bye Google and your EVIL sandbox.

I haven't seen an official announcement but I have heard middle to end of November. If someone has an actual date please post it.

Google indicated a few months ago their plans where to launch their new search engine by the NEW YEAR LATEST!

With that said, the exact date is unknown, but has to be in the next 8-10 weeks....considering Nov is just around the corner..

Cheers

Critter

You've hit the nail on the head, knowing MSN even if the date was official it could be postponed many times. Each time a date comes and passes anticipation grows. They are the masters at PR (no, not Page Rank). If only any of their products met the hype.

I hope for MSN's sake that they have smartened up their algo's because when I took a test drive of their preview a while back the results they showed for me were a joke.

I love there algo since we have 4 of the top ten sites for our industry. Not just because we have good results but IMHO these results are more relevent compared to G.

I have noticed for 3 seperate markets all in my industry but located in different cities there only seems to be 8 relevent websites in G for the top 20 results. All others are directories or newpapers.

MS is best at releasing stuff and fixing it after its live and everyone has exploited every bug in it. They should do this with MSN search too. Put it out there and see what happens - worked for Windows didn't it?
