Question Kicked from Yahoo Index?

Hello Community,

we seem to be kicked from the Yahoo Index.

We run a german Microsoft Certification forum dedicated to Windows Server and Backoffice Support.

We had once a good Yahoo/AllTheWeb/Lycos etc. Ranking, now we only find links to us - not ourselves, weird.

I noticed that in early august, still the same by now.

We changed nothing regarding our content, we never spammed or did any cloaking.
We never used a seo tool.

We are safe in google though and number one regarding our topic.

Could this be due to the switch to their new algorithm?

How can we get in again? I'm very confused and rather despaired.

I already asked several people and forums,
noone seems to be able to help

Thanks for any suggestion folks,
Mark

Hello,

I have no idea why we are excluded from Yahoo/AllTheWeb/Lycos etc. and I'm bored of looking for ideas and ways.

Does anyone know a good SEO service?
Price is secondary.

Please send me an email or PM

Thanks
Mark

Yahoo probably doesn't know either. Best to email them a request a manual review for re-inclusion. As for seo services, there are several to choose from here on this forum.

Boulder City NV Real Estate | Las Vegas Retirement Communities | Las Vegas Golf Homes | Dogs for adoption in Las Vegas

Couple of questions

1. Are you in Yahoo Directory
2. It will be helpful to know the URL of the site in question there is none in your profile. Either update your profile or PM me the URL of the site.

Very less people are sure how yahoo works other then it gives more preference to onpage factors and keywords in domain name etc.

Our domain is www mcseboard de

We are safe in google if I do a search on 'mcse forum', but we do very, very bad on Yahoo/Lycos etc.
We had a better position the last three years, then all of a sudden - gone way back

I mailed them more than 10 times, I do only get canned responses if ever.

Crichey: Were are the SEO services listed? Thanks a bunch.

We are in the directory.

Thanks folks,
Mark

I ran the query in yahoo with mcseboard in search box
and see the .com site as the first result and no .de site. Yahoo might be seeing that as duplicate content because of domain forwarding.

Do a search for mcseboard.de and you will see both dot com and dot de sites with only .com site showing as cached. This tends to support the theory of duplicate content as both results show same title, descriptions & metas. Hope this helps

Gee thanks - really weird though, since we forward all domains (CNO) to the .de one.

Funny, if you do the same in Yahoo.de you only find sites that link to us, but the source (us) itself. I don't think that is the intention of yahoo...

Thanks PinkPanther,

Just curious, have you done any modifications to forwarding domains recently or has it been like that for a while ?

I'm amazed both sites haven't been booted from Yahoo. You're lucky. They might have kept your older site but if you tickle them enough they'll probably boot both.

I don't defend Yahoo but it was like a post I read today. It said I can't understand why Yahoo dropped 5 of my 14 similar sites. No, I can't understand why either.
