Yup, Google has banned itself. No PR, no pages found with the site:www.google.com command and do a search on google.com in google, nothing.

Less controversy. Google not playing favorites. SEOs freaking out about the MAC "Shift+click" (i forget the command) from 2 months when Google was linking to a developers site. Hell who knows.

Maybe they are fazing it out since they would have to pay Stanford and the US Government once they go public anyway.

PR also makes SEO MUCH easier to gauge therefore more SEOs manipulate thei SERPs.

There could be many valid reasons as to why they might do it.

It's possible they got caught selling PR (through their AdSense program) and they got the "selling PR' penalty!
