Google Images merges with Google News.
Seems that Google is displaying news and news images @ images.google.com (see for yourself)

Kinda makes sense since these images will most likely be updated more frequently if not daily unlike the regular images search.

It seems to only work with one word queries.

"clinton" and "bush" both work but not "bill clinton" nor "george bush"

Thats messed up. Might have to do with the XML news feed or something.

I would like the feature if they weren't pimpin the news either. I think daily updated pictures is what Google Images needs. But the news just doesn't look right.
