Yes, we make the site slow for naughty people and if they Google search I did earlier is an indicator, the site is going to be reallllly slow for you...

Outside of Xmas sorcery, I haven't noticed a slow down or any pop-ups. I get warnings from the system if there is a slow load time as well, and haven't received anything. Can you send me a screenshot of the pop-up you are seeing and tell me what browser you are using? Maybe try a different browser too? james@developershed.com

I found it.
Got a email from Santa...you were right. I kissed Mrs. Clause and he's pissed, now she always whats to be kissed.
It was firefox, using more memory than I had to offer..chrome works fine.

All that said: the forums aren't fast ATM, but they work ok-ish for me right now.

Not noticeably slower for me (but was never fast - fine, but not fast).
In my case it is all the calls to devshed and facebook that are going on 'in the background' (seen this on other sites too)

First part of page loads - then the 'apps' kick in, then the rest of the page loads and I am stuck with frozen page until the external content is sorted.

The being "nice" is for men to get gifts. Maybe the algo for girls to get gifts... they have to be "not nice"?

Unfortunately vBulletin 4.x is slower than 3.x due to all of the AJAX calls (which is why you see the page structure load before the content) and other things... we've spent a lot of time on optimizing it and will continue to do this... so hopefully it will speed up over time. Also... the most viewed pages should be faster to load than less viewed ones due to the fact that we're caching pages in server memory. We ran a few speed tests before and after... and page load time has only change slightly. But... we're continuing to work on it.

I think your going to lose a lot of people with the speed, I checked it on a speed test, and it's way too slow.
You'll find a solution. I find I have to re-log in if I open another tab.

You should really think about starting a thread for forum issues and set a notice at the top of each forum.
