Mods actually close very few threads in general. I doubt this one will be closed as it just serves to bring more attention to the sticky's in each category which isn't a bad thing.

There is nothing underhanded about the original closure as it has been spelled out in plain english for at least a few months in a sticky marked Please Read Before Posting with the reasons also listed.
