To get a signature you need:
  • 30 posts
  • One month membership

I also suggest you read the F.A.Q. Some things are outdated, you may read about 100 posts needed, but the last rule is 30. Anyway, introduce yourself to the rules .

The rule is currently 30 days/30 posts.

This is designed to discourage "drive-by spammers" and people who just join to get free links; sadly we still get our fair share of them!

Mod's will delete posts which are pointless or add nothing to discussions (in accordance with forum rules) and users who continually do this will be warned/banned.

So if you want to post for the sake of sig' links you'll need to learn enough about seo to give informed opinions (or ask sensible questions) and you'll need to read threads before posting.

If you notice a drop in the number of your total posts beware... you're probably on somebody's "watch list".

Posting is good, post spamming is a pain in the butt (and takes a lot of time to moderate).

Clicky, maybe the default "view boards" setting should be "Linear, newest first", so that everyone digging up a thread with more than 2...3 answers would practically be FORCED to read the last replies and realise the question has been answered already. Problem is that lotsa people with <snip> and <snip> don't take the time to read through a thread and just answer the original question, blindly.

Just an idea..... (oops, not posted in the Suggestions forum ;))
