The growing membership reflects a growing realization in the internet community of the need for search engine optimization.

If a webmaster wants to achieve any kind of high rankings at all, it's essential that they pay attention to at least the basics of SEO. In non-competitive fields, that may be enough to top the SERPs.

WOW - congrats to SEOchat admins.

BTW, I don't know if easy to do, but what might be interesting is a histogram/distribution of those 6,000 members by number of posts. I.e. XXX have posted 1-10 times, YYY have posted 10-100 times, ZZZ have posted 100-1000 times, etc.

Just a random thought ...

I realize that the number of members is very important, however my opinion is that the quality is much more important than quantity.

I tried many other forums before I decided to go with SEO Chat as my primary forum. Why did I choose SEO Chat? Quality.

The more SEO Chat members the better, as out of that quantity of membership will come quality of postings.

You never know when that next newcomer might be someone with many posts, of great advice, to offer.

The spammers are being discouraged by the new posting rules for links, leaving the forum (for the most part) to those with good information to share.

And that is the EXACT reason why we implemented those rules concerning signatures and avatars - we are all about bringing quality to SEO chat.
