Why not SEOChat rename http://forums.seochat.com/f38/s Overture into Yahoo! Search Marketing?

Since the name change is fairly new, how about "Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture)"?

and for those of you who have been under a rock for a few years, "Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture (formerly GoTo))"

Doing this now, thanks for the suggestion - we are going to move overtures posts into yahoo and do away with overture.

Wit agrees: Aah, one down, lots to go. Can't wait till we get it down to: 1. Google Opt, 2. Site Reviews, 3.
Other incl. Chat - LOL

But, this is not right, Y! SM should be under PPC and Y! Optimization should include only organic seo.

Maybe we should have ALL the PPC stuff under Optimization and call it web promotion?

It looks fine if the word "organic" stays left out. The caption needs some rewriting at the very least, I must admit.

I agree with dzine. I only voted for the name change, not the move.

Bidrank, dzine, it's a pity that you guys disagree.

I feel there are too many categories. You guys are savvy and know how to look for the right section to start a new thread. But think of the thousands of people who don't know where to look and just aim for the first cat that comes "close". Often, that's Google Optimization

For once I agree with JC on something LOL

Whats a pity are suggestions that are not complete or get changed ex post facto. You guys discuss amongst yourselves EXACTLY what changes you want done, and when you have it all figured out ONE of you post here with EXACTLY what you want renamed/moved/etc.

Nothing will be done until then.

So where did the "Yahoo SM (formerly Overture)" forum end up?

http://forums.seochat.com/t45927/s.html would like to know.

Overture PPC is a directory? Why not have "Yahoo SM" under Pay Per Click?

Sorry for resurrecting this topic, but as you can see from http://forums.seochat.com/t45927/s.html it looks like we don't have a category that handles Yahoo SM. We should since Google AdWords and Yahoo SM are by far the largest in the PPC arena.

Thanks.

Well we did but then several users begged us to merge it. So we did.
