refresh problems

Hi Darrin

as you know, I have a real refresh-problem with the Google-Chat. To refresh the board I have to go into my profile, then to the home then to Google-Chat.

Do you have other users with the same problem?

Mario, Thats very weird.

I've not heard of similar reports, and please excuse me if you've told me that before, but I don't remember it.

What browser version & OS do you use?
Perhaps it's time to you no-cache meta tags on the forum!

Is anyone else having these problems?

Darrin we use Windows ME and IE6.0. What you mean about: no-cache tags on the forum?

no-cache tags will make your browser request a new copy of the page every single time. The downside is that it will increase the bandwidth on my end. I don't mind the extra bandwidth, but there shouldn't be any problems at present.

Darrin: F5, Ctrl.F5 doesn´t help. I think it´s exactly the same you mean, or not?

I have put on "no-cache" tags on these pages. You should no longer have this problem, let me know after surfing the site a bit!!

Mario,

Are you using ADSL from Telefónica? I think the problem is due to their new proxy servers, which cache all pages (too much) and are causing many problems with regularly updated sites.

Gringo.

Hi Gringo
I use the router from telefonica, but my provider is Wanadoo. I think Wanadoo goes finaly via telefonicas server. Can you confirm this circumstance?

un saludo

I don't think Wanadoo uses the same proxy servers that are causing all the problems to Telefónica users, but maybe they have their own proxies with similar problems. If you have problems seeing updated pages, maybe you could try this solution which apparently has worked for Telefónica users ...

Darrin did you changed the no-cache conditions again? Yesterday I had no problems, but today the refresh isn´t possible.
