    Here's a screenshot of before, on mouse over and after rep-button.jpg

    P.S. When will we have images show in an internal popup box? I hope that's another one on Jim's list of cool stuff!?

    IMHO it's pretty cool to make a pic jump out of its predefined box like that.

    I don't care how it looks in Chrome, since that browser is pretty much sh*te anyway (apart from its being reasonably fast)

    Let me try in another browser and get someone look as well

    It's good you like it! We just noticed there seemed to be less rep given, so wanted to experiment with something fun!

    This is probably a caching issue. If you do a hard refresh you should see the button as intended.

    We created the button using some css3 level selectors. here is the code if anyone is interested:

    Code:
    .button {
      display: inline-block;
      background: #29AAE2;
      border-radius: 5px;
      padding: 5px 7px;
      margin: 0;
      color: #CCDDE3;
      font-size: 95%;
      -webkit-transition: all 0.3s ease-out;
      -moz-transition: all 0.3s ease-out;
      -o-transition: all 0.3s ease-out;
      transition: all 0.3s ease-out;
    }

    .button:hover{
      z-index: 1000;
      color: #FFF;
      -webkit-transform: scale(1.8) rotate(-7.5deg);
      -moz-transform: scale(1.8) rotate(-7.5deg);
      -ms-transform: scale(1.8) rotate(-7.5deg);
      -o-transform: scale(1.8) rotate(-7.5deg);
      transform: scale(1.8) rotate(-7.5deg);
    }

    <a href="#" class="button">Give Rep</a>

    What might also help get the rep trade levels back where they were would be to speed it up.... it takes too long to give rep now.

    Also, can we invert the point scale? In other words, default to the highest # of points you can give, instead of 0 and then making you scroll to the bottom? It's not that big of a deal on a PC, but when browsing mobile it's a huge PITA.

    Cheers for inverting the scale!

    However..... a slight side-effect is that now it forces full rep instead of zero rep when giving rep to the same member repeatedly. So.... for demonstation, I thought I would rep every post on this page that I had not already done so.

    So you can see on NathanielB's and dzine's profiles that I've given them both full rep, when the later ones should be forced zeroes.

    Aww thanks but I thought that was just because you loved us

    The problem with this is there is no easy fix, you can't really have it both ways! I'm sure the ninjas could use some if statements to say if full rep already given above set to 0, but you might want to give full rep both times so what happens then?

    The best way to fix that would be to have the points auto set to - (nothing) and make people pick the amount of points they want to give, but that would extend the problem of having more steps to give rep, so I think maybe leave it as it is for the time being and see how it works out?

    • jsteele823 agrees : Rep is supposed to be throttled to prevent giving points to a user over and over again (like I'm doing now, hehehe)

    Actually, the rep system was already coded to only allow you to give rep to a posted once within a span of 15 times giving rep. After the initial points are given, the system was coded to only allow the default. If you change that line of code to "0"..... it would be an easy fix.

    It's simply a matter of finding that code.

    I like the scale being switched around - I'm the one that asked for it. If I'm on a phone or a tablet, I don't want to sit there and swipe, and swipe, and swipe, and swipe, and swipe, and swipe.... just to give someone rep. It makes much more sense to default to giving points than to default to not giving points..... if the whole purpose of the system is to give points.

    Hey J,

    Added this to the list to look at. Just to clarify, you are saying you think it should be default of 0 instead of max?
