Hire me topic

Can we get a new section for hiring people?

also a technical section where people can ask why their site isn't working (not seo related)

New "For Hire" Topic

I was just coming to this post to suggest the idea of an SEO Services Wanted/SEO For Hire topic.

Great minds I guess!

It's an interesting idea for a forum, although it may become a bit too "spammy".

Does anybody here feel they could benefit from promoting such positions here?

I'd be far more interested in having companies tell us about positions available and then we could in some way see if a member of the community is a good candidate, but in terms of having people promote their companies on here, i'm not sure if that would be a good idea..

So in short.. For job hirings yes, but for promotion work, no.

I don't think its a good idea, way to many peeps would be on here trying to pray off of the uneducated we are here to both help and learn from each other that should maintain the focus of this forum, also there is a PM function and if someone liked the advice given i'm sure they would pm you.

Darrin, I am sure you thought of this.

But you can probably easily sell banner space to targeted companies.

hiring section is a good idea, but how do you differentiate between a freelancer and a company?

Bannerspace is something I've been trying to stay away from.

I don't like advertising .. and everyone knows that

Darrin,

You could make this section more of a directory than a forum topic. You could have each website that is submitted reviewed by a trusted set of moderators.

This way you don't get duplicate submissions and it is a trusted and fair list of seo's.
