Feedback and Forum Sig' Links.

Hi all,

I want to say something & want to provide my suggestion & feedback about our forum

I just love this forum & I learn lots of things from here

My special thanks to all SEO members & moderators which give me very positive feedback.Sometimes we get negative controversary opinions but I think that they are also for our improvement & by this ,we can be very clear

but I want to ask one thing is that why this forum allow only one dofollow link ,forum links of our signature is really working very good even they are nofollow & I note that Google catch the threads immediately,so if this forum will provide dofollw links then just imagine we can get more good results with it.

So I would like to suggest that please provide more dofollow links

It used to be like this, they changed it on purpose, please do not raise this topic again or it could be another mess.

Lots of people had a big load of links in their signatures and this place was turning into a link farm.

To grub links lots of people posted meaningless messages.

If I owned this forum all links would be nofollow... then all messages would be posted for the exchange of information only.

Sadly that is still true

Since the requirement changed to include a minimum post number we get a lot of new members making meaningless posts and there are many "established" members" now with several hundred posts who come in for an hour every so often, make 12-24 pointless/unhelpful comments and then disappear without ever helping anybody (but themselves).

I find this VERY frustrating as I spend a LOT of time deleting these... In fact it takes me so much time to manage them nowadays that I have less and less time to read and post

We even have a couple of "tag teams" who do this "in tandem" (probably think I haven't noticed but sooner or later they'll overstep the mark, then they'll be banned and their sig' links deleted)

I absolutely agree.

Sadly - since people still believe that nofollow links help - it wouldn't solve the problem (and it just might alienate a few more established members).

Read the rules and the posts in a thread before you reply, or you aren't gonna make it

I think that people who make 100 worthless posts should be banned as soon as they click "submit" for #100.

The problem (for me) is the amount of time it takes to deal with these people nowadays... Our ex-friend above for instance, I trimmed his contributuins down to 9 posts but it took me 2 hours because aside from reading all of his posts - and most of the thread in which each one appeared - I also came across numerous other posts and members who were making similarly useless posts so I had to investigate them too

In fact there are several members with more than 300 posts who have been doing this for months... sadly some threads lend themelves to meaningless replies! Topics like "How did you get into seo", "Which toolbar is better, Yahoo or Google?", etc etc allow people to make one-line contributions and repeat previous opinions ad-infinitum and some members simply pick out those threads and increase their post count without ever adding any useful information whatsoever to the forums

Ahhhhh..... I probably need to take a week off
