dragging up old posts.
I know geoffrey was doing it as a point the other day to show how there is so much verbatum regurgitation on this forum but i am starting to think the quality od the threads and posts are a bit low quality at the moment.
People are dragging up old posts becuse there seems to be a lack of good quality threads to get stuck into. Am i alone in thinking this or is it just a bit of a slow time on the forums? |

Watch it, earlgrey. When I start feeling like I'm part of the furniture someplace, I usually decide it's time to move on. You're not trying to get rid of me, now are ya? ;)
Added: And yeah, sometimes there really isn't anything new to say. Sometimes, the same old questions are asked that have been asked a thousand times before. And while, the answers may sometimes need to change, often they don't. The search engines are doing something new every day, but a lot of that newness has nothing to do with what we concern ourselves with. The fact that Google puts out a new cool satellite image thingy makes absolutely no difference to how we SEO our sites. So, while there might be a thousand new topics we could talk about, what interests us most is the everyday, basic SEO stuff. And that can sometimes be repetitious. I am finishing up my contract(s) in the Middle East; currently undergoing an IPO Oman Telecommunications Co. I will likely leave for California on July 20th... going home after 6 years in the Arabian Gulf region.

Look at how neat you bullet point those `points`
I bet you had all your pens lined up neatly in the top pocket of your blazer when you at school. |

Pffffrrrt. I'm a crayon guy. Silly you. I was just using the {list} function here. Mind you - there are forums around that even support the use of {table} bbcode and other complicated stuff like that.... This was child's play. ;)
I appreciate the fact that sometimes people reply to an old post thinking it was new (because of the date saying June 2004 instead of June 2005). That's just an innocent case of "diagonal reading". But I don't get it when (semi-)regulars here respond to 8-month-old threads with some one-liner. I CAN relate to people who have been conned in some way, look up the name of the one who duped them and post (late) in a thread of a former victim. That happens a lot and I can't blame 'em |

This is almost as entertaining as creating black hat sites to spam the search engines. Shame it doesn't pay as well! G-Man |
