Can't Access Support and can't post to "Site Reviews" forum
When trying to setup an account for Support, I get a server based error that Zend Optimizer isn't installed so I can't access support.
I'm trying to post to the Site Reviews forum (which I seem to qualify for) but can't access it. Am I screwing up? |

Sorry about your problems (I have a similar problem with support tickets) ![]() The Reviews forum rules were changed last year... Now you have to have 30 days membership AND 30 posts in order to add one You've been a member forever but are 7 posts short of the # required. You could either make 7 (ultimately pointless) posts to reach the required number, or you could word your post so that it's more like an optmisation question, add a line ("please take a look at my site and let me know if you have any firther advice") and post it in the Google Optimization (or Search Engine Optimisation) forum... But I appreciate that you didn't do it that way The changes to the reviews forum were made because we had a whole lot of new posters asking for reviews on day 1 (which insinuates that they hadn't taken the time/effort to check the basics for themselves) so a lot of review requests went unanswered... It could be argued that time spent is more important than # of posts (particularly in light of the fact that we deter folks from making "pointless posts") so I will ask Admin to change the rules to 30 posts OR 30 days. Meanwhile, since you have tried the right way I cordially invite you to post your url / details in this thread for review

Considering Clive's idea, all you have to do is post in this thread with the exact post you would use to start a thread in the site reviews section (be sure to include a title)... then a mod will just split this thread by making your post a new thread in the site reviews section. Not exactly the easiest method but it will get the job done...
In the meantime we will try and get this fixed...

Thanks
Here's a pointless post (actually since the real post will be moved, If I said 'thanks' in it people would probably get confused so this one isn't so pointless.)
Thanks for adding this for me. Last edited by quack! : June 28th, 2009 at 11:53 AM. Reason: added a little. |

it is confusing... try this:1. Make a post here (using your url as the title) asking for a site review. If you can't add the url leave ut the www and use "-DOT-com rather than .com) 2. We'll review it for you. 3. Afterwards, we'll remove the review posts and put them in the site review forum. |

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at this for me.
My first and foremost issue, I think, is my home page. Before a recent massive rewrite, I had recent articles listed on the home page. Although the articles gave me a better ranking, our industry moves so slowly that they really had little true value or appeal to visitors. I think I need some combination of what's there now and something that brings more content(?) Another big issue I have is providing value to paid advertising customers. We allow anyone to list their company for free but then charge to let a company build a full page ad (as long of a page as they want). They end up creating fairly short pages then aren't too happy with the results. No matter how hard we try to get them to add more content, they don't and we get the blame. I'm just starting to learn all this as I go so any other general ideas or info would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again! Last edited by quack! : June 29th, 2009 at 01:35 PM. Reason: de-link the URL to assure the post stays. |

Umm it is here, I already took care of it and thought you got the message alerting you to that fact. I apologize if that is not the case, but the thread is all taken care of here: http://forums.seochat.com/site-reviews-17/site-review-of-woodencrates-org-requested-258673.html |

Thanks Visio, This is a bit of a pain for everyone so I won't ask again but would you mind adding the following post to that thread. I tried, already forgetting that I can't post there :~ |
