Traffic Generation from SMO
after hearing a lot about traffic generation from SMO , facebook, twitter n linked , even i tried on these, no doubt i got huge circle of people via these sites but as such traffic generation graph from these platforms didn't impress me...... i followed same activities posted relevant info , share links some of my client site and further some stuff related to his industry.... but very few impressions on the post... and as a result just 3-4 visits from facebook to client's website...
Can some one plz point where am i wrong or plz guide me for proper strategy to do SMO and fetch maximum out of these .

My favorite thing to do that has always worked best is end the article asking the users a question. This will generate comment feedback on Facebook posts which will get more users on Facebook to notice the item.
For Twitter it's best to have a good amount of followers, generally 2k+ and post only relevant material that will get retweets.
LinkedIn is generally a business community so business related articles work best. Once again it's best with LinkedIn to end your piece asking a question to generate comments.

I am also using the SMO for my business but I am not getting any traffic from the SMO websites. I don't know why. But I have enough followers in the SMO websites but it is not giving any benefit. So can anyone tell how to handle these SMO websites for business.

don't just rely on social media to get traffic for your website. For me, the best SEO strategy is to use all available techniques in driving traffic to your website. I don't have much FB likes and Twitter followers, but my website is getting good traffic because I also use other SEO strategies other than SMO.

As someone stated above, I am also a big fan of twitter too. If you can build a nice following that you interact with regularly, it can drive a good amount of traffic. Especially, if you are posting quality information that people want to retweet.
I get that many people also argue about Google Plus and the amount of users active on it. However, I am still a fan of it. I drive a decent amount of traffic using it on one of my websites.

SMO and Traffic Generation
The way to my end to generate traffic is that firstly we get to add friends as located specific business location (as our website or web business location) because mostly people interested to search business or done activity as their around area......this will also increase Likes and Followers.
Post some relevant information as that people like to search......Hopefully it increase the Traffic.

Adding related friends from the same location helps, that makes sense. But if I add some friends from the other locations just to increase traffic, does Google catches the location of the likes of your fan page?

That's right, If you are just sharing the posts then it is not going to work.

For twitter use trending hash tags, use give aways
You can use same methods on many major social sites. You will see the change.

Google won't be interested in the location of your fan page "likes"!

Do not limit yourself to social media networking sites. To get more traffic to your website, participate in other blogs and forums related to your business. It is also important to encourage people to participate in your site through polls, contests and discounts. Anything that encourages feedback.

It largely depends upon the product and services that your client site is offering. If it is the thing that does not interest people than you have to suffer a little bit. If you have failed even after posting relevant information and links than surely there is something missing. Try to make your posts interesting, so that it would force your readers to visit your client's web. Besides that, you need to put some extra efforts in your title as well, as the title of your post is the main thing that attracts the readers. Try to make it interesting and catchy!
