Whats the best approach to social bookmarking?

    Hi folks,

I created blog on the site and now plan to

    1) Add site url to many social bookmarking site via profile link.

    2) Bookmark blog articles.

With regards to part 2 -

Is it advisable to add anchor links in the blog article itself?

    Thanks in advance,

    Alex.

You need to add your site on top social bookmarking sites with your site title or top keyword.

Hello everyone. I want to agree with the opinion of mygigcafe. To reach your goal you need to start work with the best bookmarking like 2morelinks and digg. And, donít forget to add your site on the highest social bookmarking web site title.

    2morelinks eh?

    1) I've never heard of that one
    2) It looks broken

You have 24 hours - 'both' of you - to convince me of its being on the same level as Digg.

Defintely put links to the money site

If the intention of the blog articles is to get traffic or a relevant link to your money site, absolutely post links to it. Make sure they are appropriate to the article and mix up the anchor text, using the keywords you are targeting for the webpage 50% of the time and random ones using a mix of LSI words and typical ones like "click here" or the website address. You will also want to deep link to specific pages or categories occasionally and not just the main page to make it appear natural.

I recommend Digg, delicious and StumbleUpon as the main three.

My experience is that most important is to add only those sites which are really used by your visitors and which attract visitors to your site. You can provide those links which are interesting. For our sites, most of them focus on Dutch content, we only provide social bookmarking links to the three biggest social bookmarking sites. We provided more links in the past, but this was only a waste of our web space and of the presentation, because it was less then 1 percent of the clicks which went to these sites. That was the reason we only have the three biggest sites below the articles. Those sites are also giving us a big load of traffic, so this works out very well. We have chosen to place the links visible, so the user can place an article with only one click on a social bookmarking site...

    Thanks,
    Antonio.

    social book marking

    Hai everybody
In my view social bookmarking is a great way to easily start building one way inbound links to your website. We are finding that for link generation it does have value and is less expensive for the client than article marketing.

Social Bookmarking is one the best way to get quality backlinks for our site. Just take care of few points like- use high PR site, don't spam, post in relevant category, also vote and comments on others.

Sounds like the wrong strategy to me and complete waste of time. Even if those "profile" links are "followed", unless you keep participating, your profile will very soon be lost in the member list archive and those links will add 0 value.

Why not choose a few really powerful sites and keep adding value to them? Don't just submit your own articles (that's what we call spam), try getting involved (that's how we find friends who will then link to us). That's a long-term but much more effective strategy.

We moved away from the quick-link-dropping era long ago. Now it's time to take social seriously.

I'd start with creating and growing accounts at max 2 huge social (bookmarking) sites and will then explore the niche-specific opportunities: like pfbuzz.com for personal finance. They might be not as powerful but they are very effective for bringing your content in front of those who care.
Everything will be ok in the end

If it's not ok, it's not the end
