We have a site which regularly posts jobs.

When a visitor arrives on a page they see the job but after a couple of seconds a window pops up asking them to register (for free).

Since we put this popup in place we're getting around 10 new registrations per day which means when we send out newsletters & so on (all opt-in, of course) we're sending more and more to these new people.

However, the downside is that Google can no longer index those job pages.

We're having a debate here: is it better to get more signups or to allow Google to index more pages? If we remove the signup box then we would certainly have less daily signups, but maybe more visitors via Google.

What do people here think? Which is going to be more effective in the long run?

Any thoughts or ideas on this would be appreciated to get a different perspective!
