    Redirecting Facebook Likes

Is it possible to make facebook likes to a page follow after the page has been redirected to a new url?

Would pointing the like button code at the old page work, even though visitors are presented with a new page?

    Thanks.

Not entirely sure what you mean. You can redirect people that like your page and those that do not like your page to different URLs. If you mean to only redirect them the first time they like your page.... I haven't done that but I can think of potential ways to make it work.

Product page has lots of likes for that specific product/url.

Product page is being moved to the new site, therefore the old page will be redirected to the new - so will (and if so how will) the likes follow?

    Is what i meant.

Likes do follow redirects, but only if you edit the code behind the Facebook like button on the new URL, and point it to the old one.

    Is what i've found.

    Cheers.

    Facebook name

If you have less than 200 you can change your page name. If you have more so you have to inform your page fans to like your new page. Otherwise there is no way for doing that.
