Can any one prioritize social media actions according to their effectiveness?
1. facebook like
2. pinterest pin
3. delicious share
In my opininon the list looks like that
1. Facebook like
3. Pinterest pin
How do you define "effectiveness"?
For me, in terms of traffic, these work best for me:
3. Google Plus
2. Google Plus
But then again, it all comes down to what type (+quality, obviously) of content you are sharing and how much time/effort you spent building meaningful connections...
Everything will be ok in the end
If it's not ok, it's not the end
If you look at interactions as new backlinks, I kind of replied to your question too
Besides, interactions result in natural backlinks because people notice your content and cite you next time they are writing about similar topic. Many people do weekly roundups of what has been discussed on social media, that's how I get backlinks too
I wouldn't care about other types of backlinks when talking about social media though..
1. newsletter publishing
3. social media marketing
4. article publishing
Better to start with profiles
1. Gogle +
I also use StumbleUpon and About.me (maybe even creating Yahoo account or group)
Picture share sites
And all what you can earn from your activity(likes, shares, pins, etc.)
2. Gogle +
Holly crap is LinkedIn still a thing in some industries? How is that still a thing? Just about as bad as Geo-Cities before they stopped the blink tag from working.
I would throw this out there....
In addition to knowing what your goal is (see Ann's super post), you need to understand if your industry is special in any way. If your a craft site then pintrest pins might mean more to you than they would for a financial management site. LinkedIn (shudders) might be the go to network in some industries, but in others it's irrelevant.
Goal > How your audience works > Testing solutons
Otherwise you might as well ask if you need a 10mm spanner before specifying WTF you are working on.
