I don’t why people search for search engine benefits I think social media promotion is all about internet marketing there is nothing disclose by any search engine algorithm that how exactly they give benefits to social presence. In one hand they completely deny to give any value to no follow links and other hand they recommend performing better media activity to get rank.

However one may get huge benefits as still mostly people have their social profiles so no issue to make interaction and search them on such sites

I don't know what masters of the market will tell..but to me..Social media is not the Place from which You should be expecting a steady traffic flow, but it's a Good place to build a following..

The method which I think is a Good one, is simple..

Let's assume You've a website from a Particular niche, then it's likely that You would be already having membership in FB or G+ Groups related to it. Just check these groups regularly, see what's people been talking about, Join into discussions if you can, help others out and when you post links to your content there sometime later, people who has seen you in action in that group earlier will return your favor, by either reading them or sharing them or by something else and that's how it works..
