Social Media is the best way to advertise and spread your business. I noticed many organizations use twitter or Facebook for your business. They often say " about their products and new events that are organized in their organization and many other things ". It is really best way to spread your business.
Thanks
Used to compliment and inform, then social media sites are a must, used in the wrong way they can be your biggest downfall.
For some industries (eg. travel, events) I'd say Social Media is the single most important marketing tool. Specifically if your business is B2C, it's such a great way to engage your audience.
Today Social Media Plays a important role in marketing, and it is very easy to do promotion of your business through SMM. We have big website like Facebook, Twitter, linkeding, myspace, stumbleupon for SMM. They helps us to promote business in a single click. So 70% of business depends upon SMM
We've *finally* been getting into social media at SEO Chat. We're keeping it simple. Honestly, at this point, I don't know how it's affected our traffic; it's probably too early to tell.
I noticed and was quick to join in. We've started on Fbook as well and in the same boat as you, too soon to tell although we did convert three since we started but that could be fluke.Originally Posted by terriwells

Those who think it is the be all and end all should probably read this very recent article: http://www.internetretailer.com/2012/09/25/social-media-posts-dont-lead-salesOriginally Posted by Test-ok

Through my research into it so far - I'm kinda new to SEO - I've gathered that a social media presence for many businesses is a way of getting their brand name out there and known. Whether this increases organic traffic or not entirely depends on what the that business is selling/providing.
EGOL, thanks for sharing that. My company is looking to start something in a similar direction but there is NO WAY we can put out 4 posts a day. We were thinking more like 1 very high quality post a week.
So I have a few questions:
1. If you don't mind... what kind of product / what is the subject of the blog. I have never understood why people would follow an industrial company on facebook but apparently they do.
2. Are these people converting / buyers? (if that is what you do).
3. Where do you get content ideas from to keep up that level of bogging? Do you end up repeating some things after a few months?
4. Do you use Google Plus at all?
Many companies live only through the promotion of social networks. I mean that the emphasis they give to social media. Having a high traffic website visitors are themselves beginning to redistribute the product, ecause they see and trust the same people as they are. But this is human psychology, it is another matter.
Thanks
I think many uses social media for socializing. But nowadays more and more people are using it for business.
Yes..that's what most of us often tend to forget..that Traffic from a Social Network Site comes only after you become successful to Gain trust within Your Peers and they think.."Okay !! Hold on..this guys seems to know this well" and then they start hearing you..
But the Problem is..today most of us keep spamming places with links and all and name it as 'Social Media Marketing'..so time we change the way..![]()
From personal experience, I can say that MyBlogGuest is earning visitors mostly from the word of mouth, so in that way we do heavily depend on social media (as an umbrella term for anything except search rankings). Google does drive us some good traffic, but 50% of search visitors come from the term "myblogguest", so they must have heard about us before searching.
So can I say I really depend on social media? I'd say, it's a different dependency than, say, from search engines. If search engine traffic disappears, we'll lose like 40% of newcomers. If Twitter bans our official Twitter account, we'll hardly see any impact on traffic.
Social media impact is not easy to measure, hence that's not an easy question for me!
Everything will be ok in the end
If it's not ok, it's not the end
