    Be likable.

    It's true. That's number #1.

But to encourage people who like you to actually press the like button, create a custom welcome page that requires them to like to get access to something you're offering them, like a discount, a video, a download, ....

While getting "likes" can help get your message out, it is only the tip of the iceburg. Finding ways to engage and more strongly interact with your fans and friends is equally, if not more important. Bringing these people out of the shadows to purchase (read: convert) a service or product should be a top priority, if your site dictates that.

Once you get that "like," you must continue to engage them and deliver your websites message and information to keep them around and turn them into conversions. Make sure your message is clear and your conversion funnels are defined.

I disagree, many Facebook and Internet users trust videos or links they have to click like on to see, it's very suspicious.

Be likable is the answer, but also market yourself well.

It isn't that simple. I have nearly 500 friends and would have to work pretty hard to get them to all like a page and 500 is not that many likes for a facebook page.

You need to offer a service that people want. The pages I like post things I like. The groups I run, people like what I post, if they don't, they leave.

FREE works! We have the most popular dictionary/glossary in our niche. We place #1 for it in all search engines. We normally sell it, but for a FaceBook Like we send it FREE attached to an e-mail in PDF format. Costs us nothing, but it is a really good FREE perk to our users/readers. It is a Like magnet.

I think the moral here is no differerent than conventional SEO..there is no one size fits all approach. Testing and finding what works for your fan base comes in many shapes and forms. Free is definitely a common denominator IMO

Super! Still waiting for the single B-Side to get mixed but when it's all together, this is going to be interesting... nice one, saved me buying some other crap facebook course thing. I've definately not gone the route of being one of those phased, blinded people buying loads of courses as I stopped with your's! And Hagop's! but yeah.

Increase followers on different social media site. You can also get Face book like from that. Just you should have good communication skills & also ask them to provide you like from their friends or followers.
