Google+ profile links on Google's homepage are gone

The way you used to log into Google+ (or the way I did, anyway) was by looking for the little "+Google" in the upper right corner of Google's homepage. Or when I was already logged in, I looked for "+Mark".

In an effort to "simplify the user interface," those +Names are now gone. You can still get to Google+, you just have to wind your way through a couple menus. Here's a little more info: Google+ profile links have started disappearing from Google | The Verge

I have seen too. Process of evolution. But don't know how it is useful.

Mainly I think it shows what Google's priorities are - mobile friendliness and simple design over easy Google+ access. But that's speculation on my part.

The "Google+ is dead" talk seems to happen almost as much as the "SEO is dead" talk. So it might not have much merit at all. Fun to imagine and try predictions though!

I wonder how much effort Google goes to in order to make Google+ visible to its users? It's been a little while since I signed up for a Gmail, but I don't remember Google+ being pushed very hard. And now, if the "+Name" label is gone, that's just another point of access gone. How do people find out about Google+ other than reading articles that say "it's dead?"

I actually use it a lot for some of the other forums in the Developer Shed network. There are some active, professional, and friendly enclaves there. There's also a lot of spam and people trying to harvest +1's and shares.

This is true but dont you think removing the +Name from the google home page will led to decrement of Google Plus audience?

Hard to say. For those who are already there and established, I doubt it will have a huge impact. But it might make it more unlikely for new people to become engaged.
