Hi James, Unfortunately your site isn't set up to rank well. Your best bet would be to get a website ranking audit off someone, but off the top of my head:

Going Beyond Metas
While meta tags are important for MSN, Google and Yahoo ignore them, as a recent article here showed. So there are more important things to do than start with meta tags.
The alt tags tips is a good one, as is the backlink advice. To that end I would speak to suppliers, customers, employees, friends, menswear bloggers and so on about them giving you links or trading links with them. Personal emails/phone calls would work best for this; generic emails are spectacularly unsuccesful (trust me, I've tried). Mention some of their content that you liked so they know you've actually been to their site . I would get rid of the images that replace text, and use actual text. The only possible reason not to would be that you have huge traffic from non SE sources. Put the navigation on the left, and replace it with category browsing. For example, have links like Designer Suits | Armani Jeans | Boss Polos | Other Designer Polos | etc. If you have further questions, feel free to Private Message (PM) me. Design-Wise
Oh, I meant to say: the clothes hanger image is extraneous, as is the text telling you how many things are in the cart and the cost.
Also, the site doesn't look luxurious, in the way I would think it should given it's designer clothing... |

Hi guys since the previous post i'v updated the site, every product now has its own seperate page. I'm just wondering what peoples honest opinions are on how the site can be improved, and how it stands currently with SEO. Thanks for your time, James

Much better, but one little snippet of advice. You're wasting valuable screen real estate on the homepage; that area where you have images below the top navigation bar (main page/new products/etc) and above the leftnav (product categories) is a very hot area in terms of UI. If you must have images there they should, at least, be clickable to somewhere. Even better would be your top 5 selling items. |
