www.revmedia.com
Hello -
Well, I've used all the techniques I learned on this site, and now I have a PR6. However, I can't seem to get my traffic to increase - it's been stable at around 50-100 uniques daily. This has been the case for about 6 months, and nothing I do seems to improve it. I am targeting two sets of keywords, one set is variations of the term 'offshore development' (offshore programming, offshore tech, etc.). The other is much harder -- My target market is small web design firms, freelance www pros, etc. So, I am struggling to find out how to best reach this audience. Anyways, ANY advice welcome and appreciated!!!! thanks in advance, Dave |

Have you checked how many people search for your keywords using a keyword tool? If you are near the top of the serps for your keywords and still don't have a great deal of traffic then the keywords are not big traffic ones.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing - my main keywords give me hideously low traffic (maybe one hit per week) but that hit is nicely targeted and as often as not results in an initial contact. (I get many more hits from other keywords, but less contacts). My approach would be to forget overall traffic and go for those high conversion keywords. Optimise different pages for different terms. At the moment all of the titles say "Pagename:Outsourced Programming, Web Design, Rational Services". I would make the titles much more specific to the page content for each page. Expanding your keywords in this way will result in a lot more traffic. You seem to have a lot of potentially useful text in image format on the home page. I would make that into text, and make sure it contains your major keywords. At the moment the page lacks keywords in the text. Same goes for using h1s instead of images - you can make them look nice using CSS. :-D |

Ditto on the image text to plain text so the spiders can feed. Also suggest alt tags on images.
Layout is nice and clean. I like the navigation placement. Good professional color scheme. Your copyright is out of date. My understanding is that the vast majority of spiders will not be able to follow the links in your rollover menu, but I see you have a site map, so that should be OK, though it' snice when the SEs can see how all the pages links to each other. News bit on the left is cool, but not when the most recent entry is 5 months old. Suggest you try some geographical serach term targeting to may generate soem more leads. I don't see where you are located. Many people/companies like to work with business local to them. So target terms like <YourTown> Web Development, etc. Good luck! |
